A way of life, a place to live

There was Paris, Villasimius, Montreal, hotels and stars, Sydney, Luxembourg, the encounter, London, and finally Paradou. Then Paris again, and another encounter in Les Baux-de-Provence!

 

We wished to come and meet you for you to taste our cuisine, share our experiences, and simply enjoy a moment together.

 

There’s a Mas from Provence, three passionate people, experience, know-how with a shared vision, energy, and one key word in mind: simplicity.

Joy is a true driving force. From the moment we wake up, we look forward to starting a new day, seeking out smiles and hearing “hummms.”

 

We love working, but it’s not really a job; it’s simply how we’ve chosen to spend most of our days: in our restaurant in the heart of the Alpilles.

 

We really believe that sharing and bringing joy to others are key elements in the pursuit of happiness.

 

Lucky enough to belong to the fantastic world of gastronomy and restaurants of the Alpilles, we are committed to please both the locals who explore our picturesque and quintessentially Provençal landscapes and those who come from further away to discover the elegance and diversity of our regional products.

 

Coming ourselves from elsewhere, we still dream as we admire the garrigue, the olive and almond groves, the vineyards, and the old farmhouses filled with history, family, and happiness. Belonging to this community, where traditions and agriculture have forged strong bonds between contrasting landscapes and cultures, allows us to discover all over again the simple pleasure of enjoying the richness of local products, such as the high quality of the fruits and vegetables, the olive oil from the Vallée des Baux, the quintessential Camargue rice and bull, or the Maussane lamb.

 

We shall keep on sharing our mutual love of the art of living.

 

Far from taking ourselves too seriously, we remain sincere and determined to keep our spirits up and spread joy on a daily basis.

Our story

In a sun-bathed, tastefully decorated family farmhouse, the vibrant cuisine is complemented by warm and dynamic service. Bec restaurant in Paradou began with him in the kitchen and her in the dining room, bringing this gem to life!

JESSICA and EDOUARD

In Paradou, in the heart of the iconic Alpilles, we wished to come and meet you for you to taste our cuisine, share our experiences, and simply enjoy a moment together.

In July 2019, we launched BEC (a combination of both our surnames), a restaurant just minutes from Maussane-les-Alpilles, to write our own story and contribute to the new generation of restaurants. BEC, like the art of pleasing palates, nibbles from various influences and experiences that have shaped our cuisine and service.

 

On one side, Edouard—the tall, discreet one with a reassuring presence—brings his quiet strength to this establishment he has made his own. On the other, Jessica, the radiant and sparkling one, shares the kitchen with a modern-day hostess-style service. BEC is a creative dining experience.

Our regulars and friends know that we love to be guided by our encounters and the beauty of the exchanges and emotions that arise from them.

 

So, when life put Quentin onto our paths, speaking the same languages ​​as us; culinary, creativity and above all the generosity one, our collaboration seemed obvious.

 

It’s a simple change of direction, not a complete turnaround. We are staying the same; we will welcome you with the same warmth and simplicity !

 

You will now be able to discover a new style of cuisine at our table, one with which we shall strive to take you on yet another culinary discovery journey.
